Optimizing Slayer Tasks
Your Slayer block, skip, and extend list is the most impactful decision for efficient Slayer training. The right setup can double your XP/hr and GP compared to doing random tasks.
Best Tasks to Extend
- Dust Devils: Burst in Catacombs. 70K+ Slayer XP/hr. Amazing XP.
- Nechryaels: Burst in Catacombs. Similar to Dust Devils. Great XP and alchables.
- Smoke Devils (93+): Barrage them for fast XP. Also drops Occult Necklace.
- Boss Tasks: If you enjoy bossing. Hydra, Cerberus, and Grotesque Guardians are all profitable.
Best Tasks to Do (Do Not Skip)
- Abyssal Demons (85+): Fast XP in Catacombs with cannon. Whip drops.
- Gargoyles (75+): AFK money maker. Alchable drops.
- Kurask (70+): Good alchables and Leaf-Bladed Battleaxe drops.
- Dagannoth (DKs task): Kill DKs for ring drops. Very profitable.
Best Tasks to Block
Block tasks that are slow XP, low profit, and commonly assigned:
- Drakes: Slow kills, poor drops, commonly assigned
- Wyrms: Same as Drakes. Not worth the time
- Spiritual Creatures: Slow and unrewarding
- Iron/Steel Dragons: Slow kills unless using DHL
- Black Demons: Unless you do Demonic Gorillas (which are profitable)
- Elves: Annoying to reach, poor drops for time spent
Best Slayer Masters
- Duradel (100 combat, Shilo Village): Best XP tasks overall
- Konar (75 combat): Brimstone Keys add 50-100K bonus per task. Good early.
- Nieve/Steve (85 combat): Balanced tasks. Good before Duradel.
- Turael: For resetting tasks (Turael skipping method).
Turael Skipping
Get a task from Turael (easy tasks), instantly complete it, get a new task from Duradel. Repeat until you get a desirable task. Costs no Slayer points but resets your streak. Best for getting specific boss tasks.
