Why Song of the Elves?
Song of the Elves is a Grandmaster quest that unlocks Prifddinas, the Crystal City. This is arguably the most important quest in OSRS because it grants access to the Corrupted Gauntlet (Bowfa grind), Elf Thieving (2-3M/hr), Zalcano (skilling boss), and Crystal equipment.
Requirements
- Stats: 70 Agility, Construction, Farming, Herblore, Hunter, Mining, Smithing, Woodcutting
- Quests: Mourning End Part 2, Making History, and many prerequisite quests
- Combat: Moderate (must defeat Fragment of Seren)
The Boss: Fragment of Seren
The final fight against the Fragment of Seren has several phases:
- Ranged phase: Pray Ranged, attack with melee or ranged
- Magic phase: Pray Magic, dodge the falling crystals
- Healing phase: Kill the healing pillars before Seren heals too much
- Final phase: DPS race. Use your strongest special attacks
Gear: Best melee gear, Abyssal Whip/Dragon Scimitar, Brews, Restores. The fight is not extremely hard with proper prayers.
What Prifddinas Unlocks
- Corrupted Gauntlet: Zero-supply boss for Bowfa (100M+ weapon)
- Elf Thieving: 2-3M GP/hr at 91+ Thieving
- Zalcano: Skilling boss for Mining, Smithing, RC XP + GP
- Crystal equipment: Bowfa, Crystal armor, Crystal tools
- Private Chin spot: No competition for Red Chinchompas
- Several teleports and shortcuts
Tips
- Mourning End Part 2 is the hard part. Use the RuneLite quest helper. The light puzzle is infamous but manageable with a guide.
- Get 70 in required stats before starting. Some can be boosted but its easier to train normally.
- The quest chain is long. Budget 10-15 hours for all prerequisite quests plus SoTE itself.
