Why Train Construction?

Construction is one of the most useful skills in OSRS. Your Player Owned House (POH) becomes a one-stop hub for teleports, healing, prayer restoration, and stat boosting. At level 83 (boostable from 82), you can build every essential room, making it one of the best investments in the game.

50: Portal Chambers (teleport network)
65: Gilded Altar (best Prayer training method)
70: Superior Garden with Rejuvenation Pool
75: Occult Altar (spellbook swapping)
80: Fairy Ring + Spirit Tree combo in Superior Garden
82: Jewellery Box (ornate, boostable from 82 with Crystal Saw + tea)
83: Rejuvenation Pool (ornate, restores all stats/HP/prayer/spec)
84: Achievement Gallery with Nexus portal (all teleports)

Training Methods

Levels 1-33: Questing + Basic Furniture

Complete Tower of Life, Cold War, and other quests with Construction XP rewards. Build Crude Wooden Chairs (level 1) and Oak Chairs (level 19) for early levels.

Levels 33-52: Oak Larders

XP Rate: 180-250K/hr
Cost: ~3-4M to 52

Build and remove Oak Larders in your Kitchen. Use a Demon Butler for faster plank delivery. This is the most common early training method.

Levels 52-77: Mahogany Tables

XP Rate: 700-900K/hr
Cost: ~35-50M to 77

The fastest standard training method. Build and remove Mahogany Tables with a Demon Butler delivering planks. Expensive but incredibly fast. You can get from 52-83 in a single day.

Budget Alternative: Oak Dungeon Doors (52-83)

XP Rate: 300-400K/hr
Cost: ~15-20M to 83

Much cheaper than Mahogany Tables but significantly slower. Good if you are on a budget and do not mind spending more time.

Levels 77-99: Mahogany Tables or Gnome Benches

XP Rate: 800K-1M/hr

Continue with Mahogany Tables if going for 99. Most players stop at 83-84 since that unlocks all essential rooms.

Building the Perfect POH

Once you hit 83, build these essential rooms (use Crystal Saw + Stew boost for +5 levels):

Ornate Rejuvenation Pool: Full HP/Prayer/Spec/Run restore
Ornate Jewellery Box: Every jewellery teleport in one click
Portal Nexus: All portal teleports in one interface
Occult Altar: Switch between Normal, Ancient, Lunar, Arceuus
Fairy Ring + Spirit Tree: In Superior Garden for universal travel
Gilded Altar: For Prayer training with maximum XP bonus

Tips

Use a Demon Butler. He costs 10K per trip but delivers planks fast. Pay him in coins, not food.
Crystal Saw + Spicy Stew boost lets you build items 8 levels above your current level.
Buy planks from the GE rather than making them yourself unless you are an Ironman.
83 is the magic number. Unless going for 99 cape, stop at 83 to build everything useful.
