Special Attack Weapons

Special attacks can change the outcome of a boss fight. The right spec weapon reduces Defence, deals massive burst damage, or heals you at critical moments. Here is every notable spec weapon ranked.

S Tier: Essential

Dragon Warhammer (DWH): 50% spec. Drains 30% of targets Defence on hit. THE most important spec weapon for bossing. Used at every raid and many bosses.
Bandos Godsword (BGS): 50% spec. Drains Defence equal to damage dealt. Alternative to DWH. Better when Defence drain needs to be exact.
Dragon Claws: 50% spec. Hits 4 times rapidly. Best burst DPS spec. Essential for PvP and Colosseum.

A Tier: Very Useful

Toxic Blowpipe: 50% spec. Heals you for 50% of damage dealt. Great for sustain at bosses.
Saradomin Godsword (SGS): 50% spec. Heals HP and restores Prayer. Best sustain spec for Slayer.
Volatile Nightmare Staff: 55% spec. Rolls against Magic defence with max hit of 66+. Used for KO potential in PvP.
Eldritch Nightmare Staff: 55% spec. Drains prayer and restores yours. Great for extended trips.

B Tier: Niche

Crystal Halberd: 30% spec. AoE attack. Good for Cerberus ghosts.
Granite Maul: 50% spec (instant). Used for PvP combos after DDS/Claws.
Dragon Dagger (DDS): 25% spec. Budget burst damage. Two fast hits.
Zaryte Crossbow: 75% spec. Enchanted bolt proc guaranteed. Very strong.

Which to Buy First?

BGS — cheapest tier 1 spec weapon (~10M). Works everywhere.
DWH — when you can afford it (~35M). BIS Defence drain.
Dragon Claws — for burst damage in PvP and Colosseum.
SGS — quality of life for Slayer and general PvM.
