OSRS Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts Guide 2026 — Relics, Demonic Pacts & Rewards
OSRS Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts launches on April 15th, 2026. This guide covers everything you need to know: the new Yama's Lair starting experience, Varlamore as the starting region, the brand-new Demonic Pacts skill tree system, all relics, echo bosses, rewards, and tips to reach the points cap.
What Is OSRS Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts?
Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts is Old School RuneScape's sixth seasonal league mode. Like previous leagues, you play on a fresh account with boosted XP, restricted regions, and powerful relics — but this time, Yama himself is pulling the strings. Key facts:
Launch date: April 15th, 2026
Starting area: Varlamore (spawning inside Yama's Lair)
New feature: Demonic Pacts — a fully unlockable skill tree replacing the old Combat Masteries
Global XP rate: 5x across all skills
Drop rate: 2x on most items
Farming ticks: 1 minute instead of the standard timer
Yama's Lair — The New Starting Experience
For the first time in Leagues history, you will not spawn in a familiar town. Instead, you arrive inside Yama's Lair — a custom demon domain created specifically for the league tutorial. Demons patrol the lair while Yama oversees the beginning of your journey. Once the tutorial is complete, you have free rein to explore Varlamore and begin unlocking regions.
Agility can be trained from level 1 using new stones scattered around Yama's Lair, giving XP rates comparable to Draynor Village rooftop — so you won't be stuck for early training.
Starting Region: Varlamore
Varlamore is the mandatory starting region for every player. It comes packed with content — far more than any previous starting region. Here's what you get immediately:
Auto-completed quests unlock: Fairy Rings & Zanaris, Cam Torum, The Moons of Peril, and Vardorvis
Slayer: Speak to Chaeldar in Zanaris from level 1 — all Slayer Masters assign the same tasks based on your unlocked areas
Bosses available: Hueycoatl, Vardorvis, Doom of Mokhaiotl
Notable content: Vale Totems, Pendant of Ates, Hunters' Guild loot sack rares, Tecu Salamander, Antler guard from Custodian slayer creatures
Skilling: Strong early options for Agility, Hunter, Farming, and more
Region Unlock Order (Recommended)
After Varlamore, you pick 4 additional regions. To reach the points cap, your selected regions must collectively allow you to: complete at least one raid (for all 3 mega rares), fill 750 Collection Log slots, complete Combat Achievements for 10 different bosses, complete 30 CA Speed Tasks, complete 250 CA tasks total, reach the Elite tier of Combat Achievements, and hit 50M XP in every skill. Popular unlock paths include Kourend & Kebos (for CoX), Kandarin (for CoB), Desert (for ToA), and Morytania or Fremennik for further bossing coverage.
The 9 available regions are: Asgarnia, Desert, Fremennik, Kandarin, Karamja, Kourend & Kebos, Morytania, Tirannwn, and Wilderness.
Relics — Full Guide Across All 8 Tiers
Relics are passive and active bonuses you permanently unlock by spending League Points. You choose one relic per tier. Here's a breakdown of all 8 tiers:
Tier 1 — Gathering
Endless Harvest: Resources never deplete when you gather them. Ideal for skilling accounts wanting infinite ore, logs, and fish.
Barbarian Gathering: Catch fish bare-handed for instant cooking XP alongside the catch. Great XP efficiency for early game.
Abundance: Yields from gathering are multiplied — more resources per action. Best for farming raw materials fast.
Tier 2 — Woodcutting & Foraging
Woodsman: Massively boosts Woodcutting speed and allows you to cut multiple logs per swing.
Friendly Forager: Passive resource drops from NPCs and skilling nodes — you gain secondary items automatically.
Tier 3 — Combat Mobility
Hotfoot: Movement abilities and run energy regenerate much faster. Strong for kiting and bossing.
Reloaded: Special attack energy restores significantly faster — enables back-to-back spec weapons.
Tier 4 — Utility
Conniving Clues: Clue Scrolls drop at massively increased rates and are completed at a higher reward tier. Best choice for clue hunters.
Grimoire: Spells cost no runes and your Magic damage output is boosted. Essential for any Magic build.
Tier 5 — Economy
Nature's Accord: Farming patches never die and grow at the already-reduced 1-minute tick rate. Excellent passive income.
Larcenist: Thieving gives massively boosted GP and items, and pickpocketing always succeeds.
Flask of Fervour: Potions last significantly longer and have enhanced effects. Saves huge amounts of supplies at bosses.
Tier 6 — Slayer
Evil Eye: Your Slayer tasks grant bonus drops and XP. On-task kills always deal full damage. Top pick for bossing Slayer.
Culling Spree: Every NPC kill contributes to a stacking kill counter that periodically grants massive loot bursts.
Tier 7 — Passive XP
Tier 7 provides a powerful passive XP multiplier to complement your chosen combat style. No active choice is required — the bonus applies automatically across your training.
Tier 8 — Endgame
Minion Whistle: Summon a combat familiar that fights alongside you, scaling to your combat level and boosting your DPS significantly at endgame bosses.
Demonic Pacts — The Brand New Skill Tree
Demonic Pacts is the headline new feature of Leagues VI, replacing the old Combat Masteries system entirely. Jagex describes it as cranking Combat Masteries up to 666. For the first time ever in OSRS Leagues, the combat upgrade system is built as a full skill tree — giving you far more flexibility in how you specialise.
You unlock Demonic Pact nodes by completing combat-related tasks during the league. As you progress, you spend pact points to branch through the tree in the direction that suits your playstyle — whether that's melee burst damage, ranged precision, magic AoE, or defensive sustain.
The OSRS Wiki has published an official Demonic Pacts Calculator so you can plan your build before April 15th and experiment with different paths.
Key Pact Categories
Fury Pacts (Melee): Increase melee accuracy, strength, and special attack potency. Ideal for high-DPS bossing with weapons like Scythe or Bandos.
Precision Pacts (Ranged): Boost ranged accuracy and enable guaranteed hits on low-defence targets. Pairs perfectly with Twisted Bow or Blowpipe.
Shadows Pacts (Magic): Amplify magic burst damage and spell effects. Best combined with the Grimoire relic for zero-rune casting.
Demon's Haste: Universal speed pact — reduces attack speed across all styles. Works for any combat build.
Infernal Resilience: Defensive pact — reduces damage taken and adds passive healing. Excellent for solo bossing and Echo Boss fights.
Unlike the old system, you are not locked into a single combat style from the start. The skill tree allows hybrid paths and branching, so it's possible to build for multiple styles if you invest enough pact points.
Echo Bosses — Full List by Region
Echo Bosses return in Leagues VI with a demonic makeover. Each boss requires you to first defeat the original version to acquire an Echo Orb, which unlocks the harder Echo variant. Echo Boss rewards have been reworked this time around to specifically complement different Demonic Pact paths — making Echo farming much more build-relevant than in previous leagues.
Echo Nex — Asgarnia (God Wars Dungeon)
Echo Kalphite Queen — Desert
Echo Dagannoth Kings — Fremennik
Echo Corporeal Beast — Asgarnia
Echo Theatre of Blood bosses — Morytania
Echo Zulrah — Tirannwn
Echo Cerberus — Asgarnia
Echo Chambers of Xeric bosses — Kourend & Kebos
Echo Vardorvis — Varlamore (available from the start)
Echo Boss difficulty scales with your progression, so even early-game Echo Vardorvis is manageable once you have your first few Demonic Pact nodes unlocked.
Rewards — What You Keep Forever
Like all previous leagues, finishing Leagues VI earns you permanent cosmetic and functional rewards on your main account. The league point thresholds and exact reward list will be finalized at launch, but confirmed reward categories include:
Demonic Pact-themed cosmetic overrides (armour sets, weapon skins)
Yama-themed pets and cosmetic pets from Echo Bosses
League Trophy upgrades (Bronze → Trophy IV based on total points)
Unique titles earned through specific tasks and point milestones
Runelite-compatible point tracker integration confirmed
Points Cap — How to Reach It
Reaching the maximum points cap requires careful region planning. Based on the official Jagex newspost, you need your selected regions to cover all of the following:
At least one raid to collect all 3 mega rares (CoX, ToB, or ToA)
750 Collection Log slots fillable across your chosen areas
Combat Achievements for 10 different bosses
30 CA Speed Tasks completable
250 total CA tasks completable
Reach the Elite tier of Combat Achievements
50M XP achievable in every skill
Any league or diary tasks deemed incompleteable due to oversight will be autocompleted after launch to ensure fairness.
Tips & Strategies
Plan your Demonic Pacts tree before launch — use the OSRS Wiki Demonic Pacts Calculator to map out your path. The skill tree is new territory for leagues players, so prep time pays off.
Start with Slayer immediately — speak to Chaeldar in Zanaris right after the tutorial. Slayer tasks scale to your unlocked regions, so you can grind efficiently from day one.
Echo Vardorvis early — since Varlamore is the starting region, Echo Vardorvis is accessible earlier than most Echo Bosses. Farm it for Demonic Pact-relevant drops.
Pick your 4 regions with the points cap checklist in mind — don't just pick your favourite areas. Check that you can hit the 750 Collection Log slots and CA requirements.
Grimoire + Shadows Pacts = broken magic — zero rune cost combined with amplified magic damage is arguably the strongest single combo in the league for endgame bossing.
Reloaded relic for specing bosses — the faster spec restore enables near-continuous special attacks at Echo Bosses, dramatically cutting kill times.
Need a Boost During the League?
If you want to hit specific points milestones or complete Echo Bosses faster, MyPvM's OSRS services are available throughout Leagues VI. Whether it's boss carries, skilling help, or general account boosting — our team is active from day one of the league.
