2026: A Massive Year for OSRS
Jagex revealed the 2026 roadmap at the start of the year, and it is stacked. New raid, new League, Sailing expansions, the conclusion of a 21-year-old questline, and RuneScapes 25th anniversary. Here is everything you need to know about whats coming to OSRS in 2026.
Q1 2026: Deadman Annihilation & Sailing Ship Combat
Deadman: Annihilation (January-February)
The latest Deadman mode ran from January 30 through February 21. This intense PvP competition offered a fresh start world where PKing was the primary focus, with tournament prizes for top performers.
Sailing Ship Combat Rework (Spring)
The Sailing skill launched in late 2025, and the first major expansion arrives in spring 2026 with a complete rework of ship combat. Expect improved naval battle mechanics, new enemy ships, and better rewards from sea encounters.
Q2 2026: Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts (April)
Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts is the next limited-time PvE game mode, launching in April. This League introduces a dark fantasy theme centered around infernal power and pact-making mechanics. Key features include:
New themed relics and progression system
Region unlock mechanics with a demonic twist
Unique rewards tradeable to the main game
Limited-time event, typically runs 5-6 weeks
Leagues are some of the most exciting content in OSRS, offering a fresh way to experience the game with boosted XP rates and unique modifiers.
Q3 2026: Blood Moon Rises & Sailing Quest
Blood Moon Rises (Summer)
This Grandmaster quest marks the conclusion of the Myreque questline, a storyline that began in 2005 with In Aid of the Myreque. After 21 years, players will finally see the conclusion of the vampire-fighting saga. Expect challenging boss fights, lore revelations, and significant rewards.
Sailing: Player-Designed Island (Summer)
A new quest tied to Sailing plus a player-designed island. The community will have input on the design of this new explorable area, continuing the community-driven development philosophy.
Q4 2026: The Fractured Archive Raid (Winter)
The biggest content drop of the year: The Fractured Archive, OSRS fourth raid. This is the first new raid since Tombs of Amascut in 2022. Key details:
Takes players into a treasure trove of Guthix
Features a lineup of demibosses leading to an epic final boss
Layout similar to Theatre of Blood (linear encounter structure)
New unique drops and rewards (details TBA)
Expected to be the new pinnacle of PvM content
This is the update that end-game PvMers have been waiting for. Start gearing up now because the raid meta will shift when this drops.
