Your First 10M: A Roadmap

Starting OSRS with nothing in your bank can feel overwhelming. Everyone around you has millions of GP and you are still figuring out where things are. This guide gives you a step-by-step plan to build your first 10M GP bank, starting from absolute zero.

Phase 1: Your First 100K (Levels 1-20)

Step 1: Complete Stronghold of Security

Immediately after Tutorial Island, head to the Stronghold of Security in Barbarian Village (north of Lumbridge). Complete all four floors by answering security questions and collect 10,000 GP + Fancy Boots. This takes 15 minutes and requires zero combat.

Step 2: Thieving Men and Women

Pickpocket men in Lumbridge to level 5 Thieving, then cake stalls in Ardougne. Sell cakes or eat them while training. Get to level 20 Thieving for Fruit Stalls in Hosidius. Earn 50-100K in your first hour.

Step 3: Collecting and Selling

Kill chickens for feathers (2GP each, stack fast), collect cow hides and tan them in Al Kharid, or collect white berries near Red Dragons. These simple methods build your starting cash quickly.

Phase 2: 100K to 1M (Levels 20-50)

Method 1: Tanning Dragonhide

Buy Green Dragonhide from GE, tan at Al Kharid tanner, sell back. Profit per hide is 100-300 GP. Process 1,000+ per hour for 200-500K GP/hr. Zero stat requirements.

Method 2: Spinning Flax (Level 10 Crafting)

Buy flax, spin into bow strings at Lumbridge. 200-300K GP/hr. AFK and requires minimal stats.

Method 3: Cleaning Herbs

Buy grimy herbs, clean them, sell. Requires minimal Herblore level. 200-400K GP/hr depending on herb prices. Also trains Herblore.

Method 4: Start Farm Runs

As soon as you have level 32 Farming, start planting Ranarr seeds. One herb run takes 5 minutes and earns 100-200K GP. Do this between other activities.

Phase 3: 1M to 5M (Levels 50-70)

Method 1: Barrows

With 50+ Magic and 43 Prayer, start running Barrows. Use Ibans Blast and prayer pots. Average 800K-1.2M GP/hr with Barrows armor drops worth millions each.

Method 2: Blast Furnace

At 30+ Smithing, make Steel bars at the Blast Furnace for 500-700K/hr. At 85 Smithing, Runite bars earn 1.5-2M/hr.

Method 3: Green Dragons (Combat)

Kill Green Dragons in the Wilderness or Myths Guild (after DS2). Collect bones and hides. 500K-1M GP/hr. Watch out for PKers in the Wilderness.

Phase 4: 5M to 10M (Levels 70-85)

Method 1: Gargoyles (75 Slayer)

AFK Gargoyles in the Slayer Tower for 800K-1.2M GP/hr. Great consistent money with alchable drops.

Method 2: Vorkath (Dragon Slayer 2)

If you have DS2 done, Vorkath is 3.5-4.5M/hr. Even with learning deaths, you will hit 10M very quickly.

Method 3: Giant Mole (Low Requirements)

With Dharoks and Falador Hard Diary, the Giant Mole is easy 500K-1M/hr with a simple mechanic.

Quick Tips

Never skip farm runs. They are the easiest money in the game, every 80 minutes
Do birdhouse runs. 5 minutes every 50 minutes for passive income and Hunter XP
Always pick up alchables. Rune items and noted drops add up fast
Use the GE wisely. Buy supplies in bulk when prices are low
Set goals. Your first 10M goes toward Barrows Gloves requirements and basic bossing gear
