Cooking: One of the Easiest 99s

Cooking is one of the fastest and cheapest skills to get to 99. With wines you can hit 99 in under 15 hours, or cook fish for a more profitable but slower path. The Cooking Cape perk (never burn food) is useful for all PvM content.

Training Methods

Levels 1-35: Questing + Shrimp/Trout

Complete Cooks Assistant and other early quests. Cook shrimp and trout for early levels.

Levels 35-99: Wines (Fastest)

XP Rate: 400-500K/hr
Cost: ~10-15M to 99
Buy Jugs of Water and Grapes from the GE. Make wines in bank. Each wine gives 200 XP. This is the fastest Cooking method and very cheap. Wines have a fermentation period but you can make thousands at once.

Levels 30-99: Fish (Profitable Alternative)

Lobsters (30-62): 100K/hr, slight profit
Swordfish (62-80): 150K/hr, small profit
Sharks (80-93): 200K/hr, good profit with Cooking Gauntlets
Anglerfish (84-99): 200K/hr, profitable
Karambwans (30-99): 250-300K/hr, very profitable with tick manipulation

1-Tick Karambwans (Advanced)

XP Rate: 400-500K/hr
Profit: 200-400K GP/hr
Use tick manipulation to cook Karambwans at incredible speed. Requires Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest and practice. Both fast AND profitable.

Cooking Gauntlets

Get Cooking Gauntlets from the Family Crest quest. They significantly reduce burn rates for fish, making shark and anglerfish cooking much more profitable. Essential for fish-based training.

Rogues Den: Permanent fire right next to a bank. Most popular spot.
Hosidius Kitchen: 5% reduced burn rate. Best for cooking fish.
Myths Guild: Range right next to bank (requires DS2).
