Hunter is best trained passively through Birdhouse Runs, supplemented by active methods like Chinchompa catching. Black Chinchompas are one of the best money makers in the game.

Methods

Levels 1-9: Varrock Museum Quiz

Answer the Varrock Museum quiz for free XP to jump to level 9. Takes 5 minutes.

Levels 9-80: Birdhouse Runs (Passive, Recommended)

XP Rate: Varies (5 min every 50 min)
Set up birdhouses on Fossil Island every 50 minutes. Each run gives massive XP for minimal effort. You can level Hunter almost entirely through birdhouse runs while playing normally. Also gives bird nests (profit).

Levels 53-73: Chinchompas (Active)

Red Chins (63+): 100-150K/hr, usable for Ranged training
Catch at Feldip Hills or Gwenith (after SoTE for private area).

Levels 73-99: Black Chinchompas (Best Profit)

XP Rate: 150-200K/hr
Profit: 1.5-3M GP/hr
Caught in the Wilderness (level 32-36). Extremely profitable but PKer risk. Bring minimal gear and banking teleports.

Levels 80-99: Herbiboar (AFK + Herbs)

XP Rate: 120-160K/hr
Track and catch Herbiboar on Fossil Island. Gives Hunter XP plus herb drops. Great for Ironmen who need herbs.

9-80: Birdhouse runs every 50 minutes (passive)
80-99: Herbiboar or Black Chins for profit
