Starting PvM in RS3
RS3 has incredible PvM content but getting started can feel overwhelming. This guide gives you a clear path from your first boss kill to end-game content.
Tier 1: First Bosses (70-80 Combat)
- GWD1 Bosses: Kreearra, Graardor, Zilyana, Kril. Use the instance system. 2-5M/hr. Great for learning basic boss mechanics.
- Giant Mole: Simple fight, decent drops. Perfect first boss.
- King Black Dragon: Classic dragon boss. Easy mechanics.
Tier 2: Learning Bosses (80-90 Combat)
- GWD2 Bosses: Vindicta (best learner boss), Helwyr, Twin Furies, Gregorovic. 5-10M/hr. These teach essential RS3 mechanics like defensives and rotations.
- Arch-Glacor (0 mechanics): Turn off all mechanics and learn one at a time. Best learning boss in RS3.
Tier 3: Intermediate (90+ Combat)
- Araxxor: THE progression boss. Teaches everything needed for end-game. Noxious weapons still valuable.
- Elite Dungeons (Story Mode): Learn dungeon mechanics without the pressure. ED2 is most accessible.
- Arch-Glacor (All Mechanics): Start pushing enrage for better drops.
Tier 4: Advanced
- Kerapac Hard Mode: Staff of Armadyl pieces.
- Nex: Torva drops. Doable in small teams.
- Telos (Low Enrage): Start at 0% and slowly push higher.
Essential RS3 PvM Tips
- Learn your ability rotation. DPS matters more than gear in RS3.
- Use defensives. Resonance, Devotion, and Debilitate save your life.
- Start with Revolution++ mode. It auto-fires abilities while you learn.
- Join a PvM clan. RS3 has great teaching communities.
- Try Necromancy. It has its own learning curve but is very powerful.
