Magic Training Overview
Magic is essential for PvM, PKing, and utility spells. Training it unlocks Ice Barrage, Vengeance, Teleports, and High Alchemy. Here are the best methods for 2026.
Methods
Levels 1-19: Strike Spells + Questing
Do Witch's Potion, Imp Catcher, and other quests. Use strike spells on low-level monsters.
Levels 19-55: Curse/Stun Splashing (AFK)
XP Rate: 13-25K/hr
Wear full metal armor, splash spells on NPCs. Zero attention needed for 20 minutes at a time. Cheapest AFK method.
Levels 55-99: High Alchemy (Profitable AFK)
XP Rate: 65-78K/hr
Alch items from the GE for break-even or profit. Rune items, Battlestaves, and Dragon hides work well. Can be done anywhere while doing other activities.
Levels 70-99: Burst/Barrage (Fastest)
Ice Burst (70-94): 200-300K/hr at MM1 tunnels
Ice Barrage (94-99): 300-400K/hr at MM2 tunnels or Catacombs
Stack monsters and AoE them. Very fast but expensive. Also viable during Slayer tasks.
Levels 45-99: Enchanting Bolts (Profitable)
XP Rate: 100-150K/hr
Enchant Ruby/Diamond bolts for consistent profit. Good alternative to High Alchemy with better XP rates.

1-55: Quest XP + Splashing (AFK)
55-70: High Alchemy (profitable)
70-94: Ice Burst Slayer or MM1 tunnels
94-99: Ice Barrage for fastest XP
