What is the Fight Kiln?
The Fight Kiln is a wave-based combat challenge in RuneScape 3 that rewards TokHaar-Kal capes, the second-best combat capes in the game (behind only the Igneous variants). There are three Kiln capes available: one for melee, ranged, and magic. Each requires completing the Fight Kiln using that specific combat style as your primary.
The Fight Kiln is significantly easier than TzKal-Zuk and serves as a stepping stone to harder PvM content.
Requirements
Quest: The Elder Kiln (completed)
Fire Cape: Must sacrifice a Fire Cape once (one-time) to unlock access
Combat stats: 80+ recommended (90+ makes it very comfortable)
Obsidian armor: Highly recommended for damage reduction inside the Kiln
The Three Kiln Capes
TokHaar-Kal-Ket (Melee): Best melee cape before Igneous. +31 Strength bonus.
TokHaar-Kal-Xil (Ranged): Best ranged cape before Igneous. +31 Ranged bonus.
TokHaar-Kal-Mej (Magic): Best magic cape before Igneous. +31 Magic bonus.
The cape you receive depends on the combat style of the weapon you wield when talking to the TokHaar after completion. Make sure to equip the right weapon before claiming your reward.
Wave Breakdown
The Fight Kiln has 37 waves of enemies with periodic crystal pickups that provide powerful buffs:
Waves 1-10: Warm Up
TokHaar-Hur (melee) and TokHaar-Xil (ranged) enemies. Easy to handle. Pick up any crystals that drop for Constitution and Invulnerability buffs.
Waves 11-20: Ramping Up
TokHaar-Mej (magers) and TokHaar-Ket (tanks) join. Prioritize magers as they hit hardest. Use Protection/Deflect prayers.
Waves 21-30: Getting Tough
TokHaar-Ket-Zek (powerful Jad-like monsters) start appearing. These require prayer switching. Kill them first, then clean up smaller monsters.
Waves 31-36: The Gauntlet
Multiple Ket-Zek spawns alongside waves of mixed enemies. Use AoE abilities and crystal buffs to manage the crowds.
Wave 37: Har-Aken
The final boss. Har-Aken is a giant kraken that submerges and resurfaces with tentacles. Kill the tentacles when they appear, then DPS the head when it surfaces. Ranged or Magic work best here since Har-Aken can be distant.

Tips for Easy Runs
Obsidian armor is king here. The 45% damage reduction inside the Kiln makes you incredibly tanky.
Pick up every crystal. Invulnerability crystals make you immune to damage for a short time. Use them on tough waves.
Prayer flick the Ket-Zeks. They use the same attack pattern as Jads. Watch their attack animation to know which prayer to use.
For Har-Aken, stay near the center. This gives you the best angle to attack tentacles and the head from any direction.
Each run takes 20-30 minutes. You need 3 runs total for all three capes (plus 3 Fire Capes to sacrifice).
