Woodcutting Training

Woodcutting is one of the most AFK skills in OSRS. While not the most exciting, it pairs perfectly with watching videos or doing other activities. Redwood trees at 90+ are among the most AFK activities in the entire game.

Training Methods

Levels 1-15: Regular Trees

Chop trees anywhere near a bank. Quick to get through.

Levels 15-35: Oak Trees

XP Rate: 20-30K/hr
Chop and bank or drop. Easy and accessible.

Levels 35-60: Teak Trees (Fastest)

XP Rate: 60-90K/hr (with 2-tick method up to 130K/hr)
Best found on Fossil Island or Ape Atoll. Drop logs as you chop for fastest XP. Using 2-tick manipulation doubles the XP rate.

Levels 60-90: Sulliuscep Mushrooms (Best Overall)

XP Rate: 80-100K/hr
Profit: 200-400K GP/hr
Found on Fossil Island. Give Fossils, Numulite, and good XP. Also progress Fossil Island museum. Requires Bone Voyage quest. The best balanced method for XP and profit.

Levels 75-99: Magic Trees (AFK + Profit)

XP Rate: 25-35K/hr
Profit: 100-200K GP/hr
Very AFK. Trees last a long time before falling. Good for passive income while doing other things.

Levels 90-99: Redwood Trees (Most AFK)

XP Rate: 60-70K/hr
Located in the Woodcutting Guild. Each tree lasts extremely long. You can go 3-5 minutes between clicks. The ultimate AFK method.

Woodcutting Guild: +7 invisible boost at 60 WC
Crystal Axe: Best axe in the game (requires Song of the Elves)

35-60: Teaks on Fossil Island
60-90: Sulliusceps for XP + profit + fossils
90-99: Redwoods for maximum AFK
