OSRS Summer Campfire Drops Friday: What to Expect From Jagex's New Format
Jagex is trying something new. Summits are the big, dramatic "here's our 5-year vision" moments. Campfires are the in-between catch-ups, basically a quick "hey, here's where the projects you already know about are at." The first one drops Friday, May 29th at 1pm UTC, and there are a few names worth paying attention to on the slate.
🔥 What's on the Menu
Mods Kieren, Ayiza, Rice, Light, Other, Sarnie, Blossom and Arcane are hosting. The confirmed updates getting airtime:
Blood Moon Rises: The next werewolf-flavoured content drop. Vampyric vibes inbound.
Summer Sweep-Up: The annual QoL pass where Jagex tackles a load of small-but-loved community wishlist items.
The Fractured Archive: Quest content we've been waiting on for a while.
Wyrmscraig: Player-designed island content (the ScreteMonge one) that ties into Sailing endgame plans.
And Jagex is teasing "a couple of smaller surprises." Translate that however you like, but it's worth tuning in.
How to Watch
The format is a pre-recorded video on the OSRS YouTube channel, plus a dedicated newspost and a Summer Campfire Poll going live alongside it. So if you miss the stream, the post will have everything. The next proper Summit isn't until RuneFest in October, so this is the cleanest look at upcoming content you're going to get for a while.
