What Is Zalcano?

Zalcano is a unique skilling boss in Prifddinas that requires zero combat stats. Instead, you fight using Mining, Smithing, and Runecrafting to craft and throw imbued tephra at the boss. It is one of the only bosses accessible to skillers and is profitable for all account types.

Requirements

Quest: Song of the Elves completed
Stats: 70+ Mining, Smithing, Runecrafting (higher = better damage)
No combat requirements

How It Works

Mine tephra from the glowing rocks around the room
Refine it at the furnace (Smithing check)
Imbue it at the altar (Runecrafting check)
Throw the imbued tephra at Zalcano to deal damage
When Zalcano falls, mine her body for bonus damage and crystals
Repeat until Zalcano is defeated

Rewards

Crystal Tool Seed: ~7M GP (used for Crystal Axe, Pick, Harpoon)
Crystal Weapon Seed: Used for Bowfa (Enhanced) or Crystal Bow
Ores and bars: Significant amounts of Gold, Mithril, Adamant, Runite
Onyx: Rare but valuable drop
Smolcano Pet: 1/2250. Adorable volcanic pet.

GP/Hour

Average: 1-2M GP/hr depending on team size and your contribution
Best with: 4-5 person teams for faster kills
Solo: Possible but slower and less profitable

Tips

Higher skilling stats = more damage. 99 Mining/Smithing/RC is ideal.
Mine Zalcano during the downed phase for maximum contribution points.
Contribution matters. More damage = better loot from the chest.
Bring a Dragon/Crystal pickaxe for faster mining.
